Natural imperfections produced in a fiery kiln are replicated in a cold, one-dimensional process to contrast with the painterly, detailed bird and egg. Metal leaf is treated with a mild acid solution which oxidizes resulting in a green or brown patina to replicate surfaces found in pottery and ceramics. Techniques evoke sense of renewal from faded memory.
