“My painting process often begins by surrendering control, letting gravity guide rain across water-based acrylic paint, leaving a pattern of droplets and rivulets, merging intention with chance. A layer of brass leaf is laid over this background. Corrosive chemicals are then introduced. These oxidized metal layers speak to decay and renewal—an urban landscape slowly reclaimed by nature.
Through this interplay of materials and processes, I explore our collective urge to leave marks that outlast us—raindrops in paint, corroded leaf, scattered sand, charred remains. These unconventional techniques reflect the belief that beauty emerges at the intersection of the organic and the geometric, the wild and the constructed. These works consider the indelible traces we etch on the world and the ways in which nature answers in kind.”
